How long does it take to replace/fit a boiler?

If the planning ie getting all the new / old pipework etc are all set up ready, then anything over two days is taking the mick.

Half a day to move the boiler and allow another half-day for the power flush & sorting out any problems ...

[Mate had an old, very old, radiator spring a leak, or maybe it was the valve, some years ago].

If the current boiler isn't working, hence needing replacing, then you'd still be without hot water for as long as it takes to do all the work.

It works it's just being moved for some reason into the kitchen. I'm not in charge OF these decisions. Hopefully they wont get in the way of me cooking

I don't see how the pipes can be easily routed without having to drill through the entire upstairs floor.

We've had the boiler changed twice. first time it was moved from the kitchen wall (which was scheduled for demolition) to the airing cupboard replacing the noncondensing boiler with a condensing combi boiler at the same time.
There was already power, water and heating pipes to the cupboard but they had to run a flue out through the roof and lift the floors to run an condensate pipe to the drains. They also bricked up the hole they left in the kitchen wall (only for someone else to take a sledgehammer to it a couple of months later) All this took a couple of guys 2 full days and then they spent another half day doing a powerflush on the system (isolating the new boiler first).
The second time was replacing that boiler 14 years later with a new one that involved a bit of pipework since the connections on the new boiler weren't in the same places as the old one. That also took 2 guys but they started around 9-10ish and were done by mid-afternoon.

Still waiting for a new one, been told it will take a whole day with new flue
