HDIF's 20th birthday party is this Saturday!
20 years!
The club has been intertwined with Urban since we started up in Brixton in 2003 - a year after the first night in Highbury in 2002. If it wasn't for the technical know-how of pk on the first night at the Canterbury it would have been a disaster (PA went wonky, pk and various Urbanites sorted it). Editor and dub have both guest DJ-ed at the night, and I've done guest HDIF slots at many Offlines over the years. For 13 happy years we were Brixton's indie club, but the Canterbury's gone now - with the site still shamefully empty - although it still lives on in VR, thanks to my shonky world building skills! Urban and editor in particular have been a big part of HDIF's story, and now we're turning 20.
