Hair fashions when you were at school

I pity people in the old days who had to go to school reunions before Facebook was invented. At least nowadays you can get your head around the fact that everyone is fat and grey haired (or bald) before you get there.

I'm not friends with these people on facebook!

Oh. Just me then :(

Well, take it from me. You know that girl who did ballet and everyone fancied? She's huge now, you won't recognise her. She's still very kind though. Oh, and there will be about 20 blokes who all look the same. They are bald, fat and have ill-advised tattoos. They were all very very different at school and now they all look the same. What's all that about?! Oh, and there'll be someone who's life has spiralled out of control and it will be someone you really don't expect. There will be 3 women who all look really hot. They have all been married to plastic surgeons for 30 years but they're not as happy as they look.

Hope that covers it!

I've actually had some dealings with a few of them. They look nothing like they did at 17, in basketball uniforms or cheerleader uniforms.

But they're generally pretty nice people. I've found that some people I didn't get along with back then, I get along with fine now. Life seems to have mellowed them - and me. :D

I know both my Grandmothers and my great-Granny used curling papers (and probably their mothers before them). They were something every woman used.

Bits of newspaper twisted tightly then with the hair curled round them and the ends ties. It didn't have to be newspaper, wrapping paper was also used. I suspect you had to pay for curling papers which was a thing she never did unless she had to.
