they are really good

im so glad your enjoying them. I couldnt believe how brilliant they were when I first started listening!! Up the Bracket is such a joyful album, puts you in a good mood straight away. Never music for cynics. If you like them from the start the more you listen, the more infectious it gets.

You forgot my favourite one!!! 'The Good Old days' so i chose my second favourite 'Cant stand me now' most awesome opening ever!!!!

:D

Can't Stand Me Now, surely. Only got into them because I listened to a bit of the song in Seven Ages of Rock. It reeks of tension, and is very well crafted into pushing that tension between Barât and Doherty to the listener.

What a Waster/Time for Heroes were the only times the Libertines ever justified the hype IMO

'don't look back into the sun' in my favourite. it was their first good song really. they were horribly two dimensional for the most part. babyshambles are tons better.

Very much agree on 1st point - that's an aces song

But, I'd disagree in Babyshambles being better. Seen both live and the Libertines were loads better. Babyshambles really missed the dynamic between Carl Barat and Pete Doherty.

'The Man Who Would Be King' & 'Arbeit Mach Frei' (sp) are personal faves but i never really got into the Libertines having said that...

Hearing Don't Look Back Into The Sun on the radio made me sit up and think bloody hell, a rare decent guitar pop song (for that time). Top band, plenty of good tunes.

Time for Heroes - 'cos it's the only one that's any good at all.

It also reminds me of what I'm fairly sure is some mid to late 80's indie tune but I've never been able to put my finger on exactly what it is.
