I've been coming back to EOW, chiefly Envisioning Real Utopias, though also Understanding Class, and I think he has a lot to offer. His approach for future politics somewhat echoes that of Gibson-Graham in Post-capitalism. Both approaches suffer from being too radical for the liberals and too gradualist for the radicals. In other words I think cultural tendencies mean that their moment has not yet come, but I like to think they will.

I saw some argument above about whether we should or shouldn't include 'smashing capitalism' as a possible strategy, but if we are concerned with what strategies we can work on right now it seems...well, an academic point to say the least.
