North Circular > Hangar Lane > Chiswick Roundabout > Get onto the A4 INTO London > At Hogarth Roundabout head towards Richmond. Keep going straight and you'll be on the M3 in no time.

(from top of head)

Would that mean going over the scary meccano flyover at Hogarth? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. If you do that, you're going the wrong way :D

You could get on the A4 out of London > M4 > M25 > M3 but I prefer the above route :)

Oh :(

I like the scary meccano flyover. It's like REME put it up in WW2 and never bothered to come back and take it down :)

Or share a cab with anyone else on the train, there will be loads :)

Shhh! It's all sorted, he's doing the scary Rambo driving.

I have a satnav, and a phone satnav, and phone googlemaps, and a vague idea where the a303 or the M4 is, should be ok :D

Thanks cripsers but it looks likes I'm piloting rambo now

'This is your captain speaking....we will cruising at a height of umm, 2 ft 6 and at a speed of, ooh, about 40 mph. teh time in daaaarzzzet will be the same as in london so no need to adjust your watches'

which bit is more scary for you stiglet? the motorway bit or drivingintrafficinlondonrushhour bit?

Rush hour is fine, eveything is going nice and slow! :D I'm great at starting and stopping.

Scary bits: Big roundabouts where you have to change lanes back out to the left without knowing whats behind because the mirror has just gone wonky

Having to actually JOIN a motorway, never done it before, everything will be whooshing past all fast, how am I going to eke myself in to all that traffic, O noes.

Go my 1st route then, the road turns into a motorway, no slip roads :)

I am feeling SO much more excited about going to endorse it, now I know there isn't all that driving ahead of me! Horror and Dread has turned to excitement. :D:D:D

Are you not doing the M3 and A303 route Stig? The M3 would be less scary than the M4, but I spose that route would be longer round ....

Good to know that _ph_ is coming and doing some driving anyway :)

Eva Luna is kindly driving me from London** on Friday, with Debbie timing her driving from Wales on Friday for coinciding arrival times .... should be on site by about 1?

**(I have to visit my parents pre-fest, and I have a hospital eye appointment and Great British Beer Festival appointment :D on Thursday)

Debbie has found me a long skirt to wear on Sunday. You've never seen me in a sarong with colourful shirt  but the condition is that I only dress ladylike if the weather is dry ..... :hmm:

Ooh, this is really soon and I haven't done anything.

I'm waiting for an offy to phone me to tell me if they have a bottle of tuaca for me.

Tuaca? Wow! I thought I was the only person who liked it/had heard of it!

Wierdly, a little corner shop near my mates in Seven Sisters has it! If you can't get hold of a bottle, I can haz get you one? :)

Awww! At this thread! S'pretty ace.

And woo! to _pH_ coming now an' all!

missed this earlier  ta poots

I've been thinking about what I need to do to get ready. I can't think of anything apart from 'shove clothes in rucksack'.

I feel I'm missing something important :hmm:

I've never seen it in bournemouth, just had it in brighton. Thought a few shots would be fun.

I'll give the offy a ring tomorrow and if they can't get any that would be great. That's so nice of you! No worries if you can't though, I'll get some sailor jerry instead. :)
