BREAKING Al Jaz: 500,000 protesters in Alexandria have forced out all Egyptian security forces.

Yep - recent reports i've seen: "In Alexandria, police have been cornered and outnumbered. Police vans are being burned and police beaten if they stay in uniform. Those walking away without uniforms are unmolested. Police equipment has been taken by the protestors. In Mansoura, 40,000 people have stormed the NDP offices. In Suez, the police stations have been taken and all prisoners released."

"The police cordon was easily overwhelmed by thousands and police vans set alight. In Cairo, there is civil war with tanks on the streets, fighting at every bridge and a major push being made on taking Tahrir square.Al Jazeera interviewed senior NDP member who argued that the government has lost legitimacy and the scenes are unprecedented. There are demonstrations in every city, including Al Arish"

Tim Marshall on Sky is reporting that protesters have broken through the barriers on the main bridge and thousands of people inc what he describes as ''the working class and the poor from the slums'' are pouring into the centre, he said ''it was an incredible melee, with security forces firing point blank with gas canisters made in Georgia US'', he is getting really agitated and yes, involved..
