E coli found in water supply of properties in south-east London

Residents of properties in Brockley advised to boil water until results of tests by Thames Water are returned

Hmm not quite read the article or anything related e.g. from Thames water but there must be more to it. I suspect some E. coli is acceptable.

So it's either too much E. coli or the wrong kind (the strains that give you the poos).

I'm in Brockley and I've heard nothing from Thames Water!

Either I'm in the wrong bit, or Thames Water are being their usual absolutely useless selves.

Thames Water website currently says:

We are aware of a report by The Guardian which states E coli has been found in the water supply in an area of South East London.

We would like to reassure all our customers that the issue is isolated to a single property. As part of our normal process, we have tested surrounding properties and all other sample results were clear with no E. Coli found. There are no concerns surrounding the quality of drinking water in the area and customers can continue to use and drink their tap water as normal.

Thanks for that Spandex , will save me diluting apple juice with lukewarm water from the kettle
