What factors make a DVD like this so expensive?

Is it because it's no longer in production?
Has it become a collector's item?

Are people just taking the piss?

Blimey, but I wonder if anyone's bought the above DVD at that price, and are people just going to keep on hanging on to it, or will they drop the price? I can't see anyone paying that much for a DVD

Google tells me it is on Netflix but I can't find it on Yesasia.com or Play.com, I guess it is out of print but it was only released on DVD in 2003.

Yeah, did wonder if I'd bought it on YesAsia, but went through Amazon history and I bought it on Amazon in 2004

Yeah some, but without looking at DVD covers, can't remember which, but probably mainly Japanese ones. I miss Tartan
