Dulwich Hamlet v Farnborough Town

After 48 hours reflection I see this result as a wake up call. The nice little unbeaten run of 11 points from 5 games was good progress but we're not charging into the play-offs anytime soon. Right now it's just about getting to 54 points (which has always been good enough to finish above the bottom 4 in any 46 match season) and we're well on course. The 6 consecutive league defeats, either side of our first change of manager since 2009, left us with just 5 points from the first 9 games. We've come a long way since 2009 but this season rapidly became a write-off. I mean, with 7th place getting you into the play-offs, there's still a notional chance of going up but that's not really the focus for me. Generally speaking, it feels like we're rebuilding and the vibe on match day feels more positive after going a bit stale since promotion from the Isthmian League.

Our new manager has done well with the squad he inherited and has had limited scope to make changes, not helped by several significant injuries that have reduced his options. I feel there's greater clarity of thought and less tinkering than under the old regime. Onwards and upwards!

Agree with the above . If we could just get a dynamic central midfielder to support Raymond it would, in my opinion make a big difference. Allow him to have more freedom with the playmaker role. A team that presses us high up the pitch causes us problems as we try to play out from the back. Gio and Timlin were better in that role than the players we have this season. Also think we could be in trouble if Felix moves on. Best player I have seen for years at Hamlet and now he scores goals as well !!. Interesting as to why it didn't work out for him at Torquay after impressing at Billericay, as he clearly has the ability and energy to play in the leagues above ours.
