Dispersal Zone for Brixton Town Centre, Acre Lane, Coldharbour Lane....

Things ghave been lovely and calm down my street while all this has been happening on Acre Lane.

I suppose that over the next six months I'll be clearing up human shit and crack detritus from my doorstep again.

Same as. I suspect shortly it'll be our turn to have the crack dealers on our doorstep till they get moved on a couple of months later following another PR drive :D

SLP article about a new dispersal zone in central Brixton and along Coldharbour Lane...
He had milk poured over him in Brixton Road two years ago after calling 999 to report people selling drugs...
He said: “Looking back, I was lucky it was only milk and not acid they poured on me."
I had a similar lucky escape myself not long ago. Some kids were using supersoakers in the park and sprayed me. It wasn't acid, but it could have been.

:hmm: it was also lucky that they were only supersoakers, not machine guns. and it was also lucky that they didn't launch a small thermonuclear device or thrust at you with the magical sword of deathspank

All the cigarette picker-uppers/beggars seem to have disappeared from around Herne Hill Station these past couple of weeks; either they've all gone into homeless shelters or someone's taking them out to the forest in the boot of his car. I say 'all', about 4-5 regulars, not inc. the ones who just talk to themselves. Like me.

Innit. Because 9 out of 10 times it is acid in them supersoakers. Trufax.

There was a dispersal zone set up in Hocus Town a while ago. I don't know if it made any difference or whether it is still in place. There are usually masses of police about on nights when youngsters are out on the drink. I suppose everywhere is like that now.

I bumped into one of them in Vauxhall yesterday. He was in the local cornershop buying Special Brew and asked for 20p from me.
