Does Clacton have any redeeming features, is there any reason worth visiting it?

I am attempting to say, 'It is a seaside resort,' but as on a message board it's impossible to do so in the withering tone of Lady Bracknell, it comes out as banal rather than amusing.

I know that this isn't the objective of the thread however I'm uneasy about pathologising places and their people. There was some attempt to do this with the Northern seats that the BNP took, and later with the UKIP seats and now the Reform seats, none of this is helpful in supporting those in these areas who are against the populist right.
