No one gives a fuck about Canada no harm to ya Johnny.

N Igma. World's spokesperson.:)

How is Ireland doing at the olympics?

Dude, a secret of internet usage: if you see a thread called 'Canada Medal Watch', and you don't give a fuck about canada's medal standings..................................................don't open the thread.:)

I haven't seen any trampoline on the TV :hmm:

Also haven't seen much Judo or Baseball. Apparently Cuba pwned USA. Again.

What happened to Water Polo too? I notice that's no longer an Olympic Sport.

Just making a point. Ireland is doing shite, I wouldn't make a thread either way about it.

Here you go Johnny, Simon Whitfield gets silver in the men's triathlon. That was a triffic race  Just out sprinted by Jan Frodeno of Germany for the gold.

I know - isn't that terrific!!!!

We call the sport "boringball" in my house. Sad thing is that Canada is still in medal contention in the sport, so it will continue to take precious telly time away from the more interesting sports.

Did I miss where Millar's silver was mentioned?

If not,
BEIJING -- At long last, Ian Millar has an Olympic medal to call his own. After 10 Olympic invitations, one boycott and nine actual appearances, he has an Olympic silver as a tribute to a lengthy career.

Mr. Millar collected his reward in the team show jumping competition with a remarkable showing in Hong Kong, on a night when Canada was short a horse-rider combination against the mighty Americans. It was one for the ages and one for the aged as Mr. Millar, at 61, forced a gold medal jump-off with a late clear round.

He is not the oldest Olympian to win a medal - Oscar Swahn was 64 when he won a medal for shooting at the 1912 Games - but it was a special evening for the man who has won everything else the sport has to offer.

It's listed under Swimming.

It's probably been on telly in Hungary to be fair.

I wanna know why we aint seen any handball yet

Speaking of handball, here's a BBC blog on how we intend to challenge for handball medals in 2012

prolly cos they're rubbish
Well, there are sports more worthy of withdrawal that softball and baseball.

A relative was on the GBR boys team and is now the under 23 (I think?) team. The only places I know that play it are Public schools and gyms with large European memberships.
