Apparently, the small roundabout just up from the Jack was the village pond!

talking of brockley farming i read that around these parts was mainly fruit orchards and when the victorians built all the houses they occassionaly left the odd fruit tree here and there.... so can still find some old fruit trees about in peoples gardens

i once looked at some old maps of peckham rye and where the old lido was was also the site of a quite large pond (river peck)... i reckon people might have bathed in it, and thats why it got turned into a lido

Now long lost _ I knew it as a badly filled pool, full of breeding foxes back in the 80s!!!

Honor means/meant something else - something like a manor house, or something like that. I read up on it once but forgot what i read!
