Buying from a website that has both UK and EU web address .. post brexit.

Just a quick query.
I bought something on the 22nd Dec from a website that has both a UK and an EU version. As I am in Ireland I am automatically directed to the EU site. So I bought thinking that is all fine...should arrive soon...etc

No sign of the item. But...I now see it was despatched today and will arrive Monday. Great.
Only...its been despatched from the UK.

So does this mean that I will need to fork out duties and taxes because it will arrive post Brexit and seems to have originated from the UK despite me buying from an EU site?

Depends on how the EU/Irish Tax departments decide to play it. I had an item delivered from overseas plastered with a Customs To pay label as the item exceeded the gift amount from China, the postie didn't bother even asking for the monies when he handed the item over. If I'd not been in and I'd had to collect from the sorting office I know I would have had to pay up.
