Broadband Brixton Hill

Hi everyone.

Hope I've posted this in the right place! In 2011 I had Virgin Broadband but had to get rid of it a few months later because it was unuseable but had to keep cable TV because I don't have an aerial. Using different suppliers has got expensive so I'm thinking of trying Virgin broadband again. Has anyone in Brixton Hill area had recent experience with Virgin Broadband ?

I found it very slow in the evenings and there customer services where terrible. So i got ee broadband which costs me £10 a month and have had no problems to date with it (7 months).

I used to have Virgin in Kellett Road. It was awful. The internet used to occasionally 'blink', that is slow down to nothing then work its way to normal speed.

If I had my works computer home and was dialling in, its security software would think something was amiss and terminate my connection. The only way to get back on was to reboot.

The customer services didn't care and they just said 'if you switch to someone else it might do the same '.

I told them that if I stayed with them it would definitely do the same.

I couldn't recommend them at all.

We have Virgin cable at bottom of Brixton Hill and it is excellent. Previously had Bethere ADSL which was pretty good but obviously a lot slower.

We have Virgin Broadband half way up Brixton Hill and it's very good - customer service must have improved as you get to speak to an actual person now and they are pretty helpful. By far the best broadband service we've had.

I use the Phone Coop.

They are small but there customer service is very good. Had no problems with them.

It is a Cooperative and they are a living wage employer.

Tried Sky (Ugh) didn't work, gone to Plusnet, same old problems. Area must be oversubscribed.
