Alexander Dumas House

Now that Hill Rise Chemist has become the first business to move into these long-vacant units, do you thinkg others will follow suit?

The people from the Chemist think some kind of grocers is going to come in but they're not sure

Don't :(

I'm suffering enough because our office is moving next week and we won't have an M&S near us :(

Besides, it's not big enough unless they knocked all the units into one

Oh noes, no M&S. How will you survive?

This isn't just a sarcastic post. This is a sneerily sarcastic Marks and Spencers post to be read in a patronising voice...

;)

We can't ALL cook you know and don't have time in the mornings to make sarnies :p

I hate those ads

Exactly. But hey ho, we give another poster a chance to sneer at us, it probably makes their day... ;)

How can you really sneer at someone buying from M&S? It's more the adverts that you can have a giggle at. Well, that and the fact that some folks are clearly lazier than a sloth with lethargy and several tsetse fly bites.

Cripes, there's one a whole ten minutes away all the way in Brixton proper. How will you survive...

:p

It's 10 mins away but it's a 40-50 min round trip.

It's not lazy, it's time management and convenience :)

You spend 20-30 mins in M&S? That's an awful lot of salivating at their choccie puddings.

Still, can't be that bad once or twice a week surely? Loads of other shops around too, so you can promiscuous with your shopping lurve...

:)

It's self-service tills in Victoria which means no queues and it's much bigger and therefore much wider range :p

If you go after work during rush hour then yes it is busy. I go to M&S at Victoria just before the lunchtime rush when it's practically empty.

And yes, I do look at all the lovely chocolate puddings that I can't eat due to my cholesterol. It's the nearest I can get to eating them :( :D

I spend about 5 mins in there. I live at the top of the hill, it can take 15 minutes down on teh bus ffs!!!!!

I shop daily, not too good at planning ahead/busy life so like as much convenience around me as possible :)

I can't believe nobody's told you not to walk to Brixton yet:D

Fuck that. Down is fine, up is a no no for me, weak ticker like :)

Neither is fine for me although I'd prefer to go down than up.

My excuse is little legs ;)

Actually, I just don't like roads. I have a problem with lefts and rights. Amazed I've never got run over yet

How are you coping without an M&S near your work, minnie?

It's a pain in the arse to tell you the truth. I'm so bored with Pret and their food that has mayo in.

I'm bored with Eat and Crussh soups.

I'm sick of having to drop off in Brixton instead of having my shopping already with me. This is definitely the crap end of Victoria Street to be located in.:D
