..Anyone seen it? Its on C4 tomorrow night - read the book and really enjoyed it but never got round to seeing the movie so looking forward to it.

I downloaded it about a year ago but I can't quite bring myself to watch it. I expect smug tweeness against a bennettons background and a load of boring shit.

A much better read is, apparently, On Brick Lane and as bad as it sounds and given the author's an 'artist', an apparently decent historical biography of the area round Brick Lane. Well worth a read by all accounts.

I wouldn't mind reading an historical account of the battle of cable street - the lead up, characters etc.

Precisly why I couldn't be arsed to go to the cinema to see it - I'll watch it on TV though.
