THE STRUGGLE FOR BLACK RIGHTS: 1600 - 2008

Abu-Bakr Madden Al-Shabbazz will teach a course introducing the history of the African experience and the struggle for Black rights covering topics such as the days of slavery, abolition movement, anti-colonialism, apartheid, American civil war, the civil rights movement, black nationalism and so on & figures such as Tousaint L'Ouverture, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, WEB DuBois, CLR James, Booker T Washington, Frederic Douglas and so on.

Course will be ten weekly meetings on Fridays, 6 - 8 pm starting 15th of January at in Butetown. The course is accredited by Cardiff University and there is a fee of £38. If you are interested in the course PM me and I can give more info.
