Bizarre protest in Birmingham

Ffs how hard is it too find what somebody is protesting about.
Fuck it I managed to find it out what cypriot anarchists were protesting about and they didnt speak english and were lobbing rocks at us.

it was a pretty spontaneous demo following mosque prayer / colleges closing time, so no placards for journos to read to find out what it was about, hence the lack of info on the BBC I suspect.
I wasn't there.. apparently 3 arrests and nothing happened bar chanting (which I'm told was more about iraq / afghanistan / palestine than the islamic film but that's from a swappie so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt till I've heard from others) before the police kettled the protest, brought in dogs etc..

So they couldn't have, you know....asked someone?

That article is really badly written, it's almost like they couldn't think up enough words so they repeated the police quote.

Well it was in birmingham probably didnt have any foreign correspondants with birmingham experience :)

:D The BBC? ask protesters what they're about? That might mean having to represent their views.. ;)
(obviously they should have asked someone, like the Birmingham Mail journo did.. )
