While most adult cyclists can drive, maybe the key is to get substantial proportion of drivers to try cycling. This could demolish the cultural stereotyping that inhibits some of the discussions around this matter.

Key there is substantial tax brakes on electric bikes I reckon and a full rolling out of street lock ups for those that live in flats. That seems to be on complete hold in Bristol though the few slightly hip areas seemed to get their on street lock ups.*

*Might not be true. Probably based in bitterness.

The obvious solution is to make riding a bike in rush hour traffic part of the driving test

Think my new bike arrives on Monday - quite looking forward to it.

Id actually like to cycle to work but it’s just not viable as I’d likely die if I rode on busy dual carriageway.

But - if Amazon were shamed into implementing a cycle to work scheme for drivers - they’d have to hire a car park nearby for drivers to park their vans up after work, which would make cycling to work even more enjoyable if I could find a safe route their and back.
