Bangface 2020

I really fancy it, but trying to persuade my friends to part with £150ish on a hard weekend is a push. I lie to them about what the music policy is and they're still a bit sus.
ive got a connection to get a pass, but yeah as with all these festival things, the costs can stack up

Never really been tempted by this, I'm more of a live bands at festivals type ... and I don't suppose many Bangface regulars take chairs ;) ;p

... but I would love to get to some of the Bangface acts though -- for example, altern8 were utterly fantastic at Boomtown in August this year! :)

More acts announced including DON'T and I LOVE ACID takeovers
Ray Keith

Hixxy & Dougal Bonkers Reunion LOL!

bagsy not going in the pool

any musical highlights?

For me Altern8 set was pure 92 class, followed by longer than billed Fabio & Grooverider who really hit the spot for me. I think Rider has got a new cinematic Dillinja(?) dubplate thats a killer, The DOnt Takeover was brilliant: Mark Archer did a stand in set that was excellent rave tinged techno, after that I couldn't focus on who it was, but yeah Dont crew smashed to the last drop.

Ceephax Acid funny as always, a guy called Reso did an interesting muti-genre-direction Dubstep tempo set, very interesting., had a really enjoyable skank out to Original Sin who is one of the best on that essex jump up tip - rare to hear those tunes loud with no MC!, I Love Acid room was great, Chevron's live 303 set was very memorable and then last set of the night was some guy called Noah Priddle and his partner...forget their names now. Really mad tunes. Last tune of the night REM End oF the World As we Now It pitched up lol. Yup

Oh and Like Vibert did an Amen Andrews, just amen jungle set that was hard as.
ScanOne was a revelation - really interesting mashup of Dnb and Techno, Colossal Squid live drum kit set was unforgettable (but a bit gothy), Sunday all the IDM bignames didnt turn up, but all the junglists did so Ray Keith closed out in particularly fine style. Excellent stuff - happily much more dnb and breakbeat than some years, and not too much silly fast music.

My highlights were casual gabberz, Dave skywalker happy hardcore inflataland set, Lucy Furr who just absolutely fucking smashed it, and Ray Keith. Oh yeah and the Hixxy and Douglas bonkers set.

I'd only be in it for the fast silly music
