Question Apple users, query on email from Apple

panpete

Blokes name, birds body.
I got an email from apple saying the following
"Hello XXXXXXXXX

Apple sent a request to your Apple devices to confirm your Apple ID, XXXXXXX@xxxxx.com.

Your identity confirmation was approved from XXXX’s MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports (2019)) at 11:58 AM on June 18, 2023.

If the information above looks familiar, you can ignore the message"

I did call them, but my iPhone says I called at 1pm and the clock is right, so I don't feel I can just ignore it, what should I do?
Thanks

Don't phone any numbers you've been asked to call - sometimes if it looks like a scam and walks like a scam - it's a scam.

Ignore it.

Even assuming that the details are correct, remember that we're running on BST at the moment which is 1h after GMT. A lot of automated systems will give dates in GMT.
