Anyone know any closed pubs in and around Brixton that could be reopened?

A friend with very long connections to the pub trade in Brixton has just been in touch to say that they're desperate to find a new venue. It'll be an independent venture, ideally with the ability to put on occasional DJ nights/bands.

I would have suggested the White Hart in Tulse Hill, but that's apparently that's gone to the Prince of Peckham people, but can anyone think of anywhere that could stand a practical chance of fitting the bill?

It's been closed for over a decade, but anyone got any idea what's going on with the Plough in Stockwell?

Not a pub, but the old Veg Bar at the bottom of Tulse Hill is still shut I think. That had a bar/restaurant on the ground floor, and a club space in the basement.
