Race Of Champions
  • Saturday’s individual race will see Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button take on fellow F1 ace Felipe Massa in front of the London crowds
  • Four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel and reigning world rallycross champion Petter Solberg have also been drawn together
  • Another all-F1 battle sees Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hülkenberg face off while there is an all Scottish match-up between David Coulthard and Susie Wolff
I booked my tickets a while ago. I bagged a seat in the lower tier so I will be quite close to the action! :D

It's being covered on Sky Sports F1

I'm watching it on the net now. For some reason the stadium looks practically empty.

What cars are they driving and which from Sebastian Vettel and Petter Solberg won?
Petter Solberg just went off, and Seb hasn't gone yet. But the indivual part is tomorrow. Today is the Nations Cup. I'm not sure what the cars are - they're driving different ones - apart from the Euro Nascars.

Looks like it's being shown on Eurosport with a 24 delay, with tomorrow's one on afterwards.

Just recently got back. If today was any guide to yesterday then the stadium was more full than it looked on TV. I think they said about 73, 000 people there or something like that. I had a great time. Saw loads of famous drivers, and they had some other people doing stunts too, including a guy who starts cars doing doughnuts, then gets out and hangs outside, and even gets out of the car and leaves it! One time he got out and, while the car was going on its on, climbed over the barrier and ran into crowd. He took someone's phone back with him, then jumped onto the side the car and took some selfies! LOL!. He also got one going, then got out and left it, then got in another car and drove it around with the first car! He did a world attempt too, with driving a car on 2 wheels with 15 people in it.

They even had an F1 demo there. It was 2013 Mercedes - so the old engine, that did a few laps and some doughnuts.

I took a load of photos, and some video, with my 70D. So I need to get them processed.

Olympic Park?
Surely that The West Ham stadium????
I look forward to full blooded racing at the Boleyn Ground next year when they swap over permanently
It's still the Olympic Park, and still will be. The Stadium itself hasn't been handed over yet, I don't think.

It gets handed over yo the contractors for conversion at midnight tonight. That's when the RoC people need to get the place cleared of tarmac etc. by.
