She was best known as Olive in On the Buses and Peggy Mitchell's sister Aunt Sal in EastEnders.

She was the drama reacher of one of my colleagues, who was far too young to have ever watched "On the Buses". This was an East End course for kids, nothing fancy. I got the impression that she remained part of her local community.

A terrible way to die.
