I think everyone expected a far better showing that because we looked good in qualifiers. However it soon became apparent that we were going to be extremely disappointed.
I don't see anything particularly worthy of derision or mocking for that? Other than for slightly bitter reasons, I guess.
I don't think I'd be so bothered about mocking a Scottish or Welsh defeat. I'd probably support you in the same way that I support English teams in the Champions League. I like Wales and Scotland.
