Johnathan Creek every time, IMO. Though the fishy one is right about the later series.

Julia Swahalahalahal is fit and therefore in the straight mans eyes makes up for her not being Maddy. Jonathon Creek is fucking awesome i love it. If it was a woman i'd marry it for its intelligence and mystery.
