My girlfriend, daughter (just months old) and myself want to go away at Christmas, for a week.
My daughter needs to be within a couple of hours of a UK hospital, due to a condition she was born with - we don't anticipate problems, but if there were any, we need to have the NHS nearby given what they know about her.
We were going to book a lodge, with a fire, but over Christmas prices are nearly double with agencies. We'd quite like to have an extra room to pay for my sister and family to do the same.
We'd like it to be in a beautiful area, "in the middle of nowhere", in the UK.
I don't like the idea of paying an amount that is equivalent to us going away on a foreign holiday including flights, so we hate the agencies you find when you do an internet search.
I realise in writing this that it is a futile question, but, any suggestions?
