That’s a very effective trailer.
I would like to know if Boots is a Garland choice from the film or if it’s just from the trailer.
Intrigued. And excited. Bit of a wait to see it. Don’t normally get campaigns starting that far in advance, do we?

It’s very powerful stuff! I’m sure it had quite an effect on everyone in your class. I doubt anyone has forgotten it.
I’d forgotten all about it until that trailer tbh!
The teacher in question gave us many memorable moments, I remember him first for holding forth about American robber barons and the Wobblies. He would have got on fine in P&P on this forum!
Thanks for that trailer ruffneck23 - just been rushing my Prousts off to that poem :D

Stoked for this. Bit disappointed with the second film. It wasn't terrible but didn't have the wow factor that the original had.

The first film has stuck in my memory, I don't remember disliking the second film but I don't remember anything else about it apart from Robert Carlyle being in it and the Eiffel Tower scene at the end

I’m not sure I’ve seen the second one. I remember loving the first when it came out but also can’t remember anything about it.

It doesn’t seem to be available on any streaming services either but 28 Weeks is so I’ll watch that.

28 Days Later was good. I didn't enjoy 28 Weeks later as much, it started out great, but all started to get a bit ridiculous halfway through.

This trailer looks...interesting? Have people gone medieval? There are bows and arrows, but also modern looking stuff? I just hope half the film isn't reduced to rampaging zombies with no significant suspense/storyline. I mean, it's fine for a bit but gets a bit tedious after a while, a la 28 Weeks Later.

A mate of mine has worked on this. He can't say much, but it sounds slightly different to the previous two films and not just all about zombies.

Looking forward to it, especially as it was mostly filmed up here

Was he in the first as well or just the second? Must have seen the sequel if it was only the second that he was on but cannot remember any French action

Thought the second was loads better than the first personally. There's a particularly nasty/ shocking scene IMO. Third one looks great from that trailer.

The second annoyed me as soon as those kids slipped the security, the military just sat back and tailed them for too long rather than swoop in and stop them. Then when they got the infected Mum into a sealed area, the biosecurity was like the most amateur shit ever. The main medic wasn't even wearing any PPE over her face. Then, inevitably it all kicked off again, and it just turned into endless zombie violence/filler til the end. Boring.

The second was just a series of terrible decisions and plot holes despite some neat sequences.

I really liked the first half, the hideout, the drama of the escape, the military safe-zoning the isle of dogs. Empty London streets. The dystopia of it all. As soon as it became an endless action/zombie film it got very tireseome.

I recall people getting pointlessly annoyed at inconsistent use of locations in London, as if it was a documentary. Something like going in a tunnel near the river and emerging on Parliament Hill. Fun to point out, but jeez, some got quite exercised about it
Yes, this is tiresome.

Bravo, you know where it’s filmed like the back of your hand, why not put that big brain to use and pay attention to the plot!

To some that IS the plot - some characters go down the wrong street, turn a corner
and end up on another street four miles away, thus ruining any appearance of authenticity
