Got cash in the envelope weekly with a little window showing the name on the payslip in a couple of my early jobs. Life did seem much simpler.
 
I hit 15 years at my current place last Friday. I've been meaning to leave since 2010 :facepalm: :oops:

It is interesting to look back and think what you've contributed to, in both the smaller and larger perspectives.
I'm about to hit 14 years at my current employer (joined in November 2009) it's likely to be my last employer, particularly if I take flexible retirement with them in April 2025.
 
my payroll anecdote:
I went to report that they hadn't docked an advance from my monthly wage once only to be rudely told to fuck off as everyone else had been underpaid that month and were complaining about it that day, quids in!
