Here's a bit of up-to-date sociological data. The polling organisations I've looked at all have some data translated into English on their sites, but considerably less is available than in rus/ukr. The large, relatively interesting KIIS presentation is not available in English, I don't think...
I wouldn't
JCP - see below
I don't think letting a room is crossing a line, nor do I think line management is, though like you say, there may be times where you do things/refuse stuff that are shit. I also don't think that saying worse people would do it if you didn't is a good argument. It's...
...a lot of good, fair and caring staff in job centres, DWP call centres and other DWP workplaces. There are staff facing disciplinary action for failing to impose sanctions on people and for speaking out against ATOS and Universal Credit.
To tar them with the same brush as the police is...
Yes, I'm aware of all that and think it's awful. I just haven't read any further into the policy on this and how it would work, but you're probably right.
You have heard about what's been going on with ATOS and disabled people? DWP sanctions? Suicides due to the bedroom tax and ATOS? If so, I'm not sure why you think this would be any different.
If that's the case, I'm totally in agreement with you. I suppose putting money into this sort of scheme also means young adults/pensioners/anyone not in the labour market are left out. If we've been deliberately mislead (I can't judge because I haven't looked beyond the headline until now)...
That isn't what will happen though, people will be bullied and sanctioned into work not supported and guided.
Any practitioners that willingly sign up to do this will be no better than the cunts that skipped off to ATOS and ruined people's lives.
You have been warning us on here about all this for a while and now its coming to fruition, I suspect it will also happen under a labour govt and it is something that is inevitable in a neo-liberal economy where work is a sacred duty and those who don't produce are seen as deviants. its also...
Health Work & Wellbeing
Google it.
Removal of GPs role, NHS MH care only at point of access via IAPT and all beyond that via private health care/DWP program providers i.e. A4E/Ingus/ATOS/etc
...give three categories of actual types of jobs.
(I have been on ESA for nearly a year, have quite a few health problems but when I went for the ATOS assesment I got null points, I suppose the reason for that was to put me off appealing, thinking because I got such a low score it would not be...
'They told us the poor could be no poorer. They told one clique that they couldn't make chemo patients attend ATOS appointments. One dedicated group was to prove them wrong'
Film to be directed by whatever the opposite of ken loach is
Would you care to 'evidence' your position that the WCAs are valid given the huge number of successful appeals, the premature departure of ATOS, and the government's / DWP's own admission that a large number of the WCA reports are shite?
...'concerns' about the safety of other practitioners doing something with pinch of salt )
the RCN has expressed concerns aobut the way in which ATOS managed aspects of the process and has some concerns aobut the fairness of some of the eraly assessments
RCN WING has more to say on...
You might want to get on the phone to the DWP and ask for a copy of the ESA85A. This is the form the 'Health Care Professional' fills in when they award you ESA without an actual WCA. It will list the reasons you were awarded how ever many points you got or the reason you didn't need any points...
I don't disagree with your first paragraph at all, and the dismal scenario you present is dismally and dismayingly possible, but what option do we have, that we can exercise, specifically in the terms of this election? Ie what action or inaction can we take in the voting booths that addresses...
...way for poor children to gain vital experience in stacking shelves. At its most extreme it believes benefit sanctions are good for you, Atos assessments are 'help' and attacks on claimants are 'support'. Both Labour and Tory share this rhetoric, as do a large section of the trade union...
