...mixed ages and ethinc backgrounds, they are the perfect success story to play in front of the Queen and paint everyone in the UK in a good light. BGT wins, Simon wins twice (a successful rags to riches story for Diversity *and* putting one over on Piers to show he knows his shizzle), we win...

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flawless to win!!! They were brilliant!! I've only started watching BGT last night and thought Faces of Disco were the best I've seen so far, but blikin' heck, that performance was excellent!

Britain's Got Talent semis and final thread

I'm a BGT virgin and I can't stand musical theatre songs (mostly), but actually I liked that Susan. She's got feel. :)

    Britain's Got Talent

...any of it is new. It wouldn't surprise me if he had even booked Flawless to perform for one of his own acts in the past. Who knows, maybe he was even the one that suggested to them that they enter BGT? He's playing up an act for the storyboarding of the show. Nothing more or less than that.

    Britain's Got Talent

I think if people are honest this is waht a lot of them expected. When she was being interviewed before and she said she was going to sing, I said "please don't" and asked mrs27 to turn over. I dont think its right that they put the really awful acts on tv as its humiliating, although the people...

    Britain's Got Talent

i think it was because she was set up to be one of the dumb/freak acts of the night - cos they always have them on BGT don't they...so we can point and laugh. i bet Simon probably knew she could sing well. so much of that kind of stuff on BGT is staged i reckon. she had a lovely unusual kind of...

    Britain's Got Talent

george is quite boring now hes always on market street in manchester and does the same thing time and time again. seems like he did it on BGT too, the only difference being this time he got wet, when he performs in manc he dances under the enclosed bit outside boots/arndale so stays dry...

Thanks Strumpet. No surprise there then. :) Right, in this household 3 people think George will win BGT and 1 (me) thinks Signature will win it. :hmm:

    Your first car

...but i can't quite remember. That was in 1988- i've never had a car that was younger than 10 and i prefer classic cars. I'm still mourning my MG BGT, which was 33 when it had to go, but i couldn't afford the welding :( Got a 2 litre 1994 Golf GTI for £500 a few weeks ago and am loving it...

    Could public utilities be renationalised?

...to sort this kind of treasionous comment from your very mind sir... :D Yeah stats go back from about 1991 until the big gap in them due to bgts change of system (thought techncially they are aviable on legacy should the really need to get hold of them... ) after around 1993 when TGB...

    Could public utilities be renationalised?

...no they aren't better indeed the index of service level has fallen year on year... equally the costs are being aritficall inflatd becasue the BGT (british Gas Trading) euro russian pipline into the uk has had it's out put halved in the last year... regardless of russias output which was...

    Classic cars for everyday use

It won't be the doors that let you down, but the dreaded sills. Always the first thing to look at when considering an MGB. That''ll cost a fortune to be honest. :( I can't believe this is still for sale: http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=291477&page=1&pp=10 Lovely...

    Classic cars for everyday use

I love my MG (1.8 BGT with overdrive). It'll be 32 in December :) I drive it regularly. It's a great runner. It hasn't broken down for about 2 years (touch wood ;) ) The only problem with it is the bodywork on it is totally fucked now...and i mean totally!!! It's so bad that i've been told it...

    Economy Seven electricity tariff

...stopped working ... this can lead to wacking great bills or you thinking that your bils are rather cheap where as in fact they are going all off the night rate.... Timeswitches went all the time when i worked for bgt so i wouldn't imagne the mechanisms have gotten any better with age....

    Economy Seven electricity tariff

ok from my old BGT days here's how it works dependant on the region or area you live in depends on whether you have one block of 7 hours of cheap rate night time electricty or two blocks one of 2 hours and one of 5 hours. the night time eleccy is funnily enough used by anything that...
