What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I've got all the ingredients for chilli con carne as it's my Dad's last night here but it's almost 9pm and he's not back yet...think he will probably have already eaten by the time he comes in. Don't think I'll have any dinner in that case. I was hungry after the gym and had some crackers with cacik (yoghurt/cucumber mix) and sweet chilli sauce. Very balanced!

Chicken breasts in a cheats white wine sauce, there's still half for lunch tomorrow. It was touch and go though, the dogs nearly got my chicken.

My husband is away, I forgot to get food out of the freezer for them and have no cash.

I've managed to palm them off with pasta and tuna which they loved. Phew, I didn't want the bloody pasta and tuna. : D

My bezzer is coming round in a bit so I'm hoping she brings chocolate or cake. : )

I need some good curry recipes - I made 3 different ones on Friday and I wasn't that fussed about any of them!

I could offer a number of curry recipes, but they all (but one) rely upon the making of a curry base gravy.

If your willing to make (& freeze portions) IMHO its certainly the way to go.
Once the curry base gravy is made, making a final dish is relatively quick and easy.

Have a look at some of the restaurant videos ... http://www.youtube.com/user/h4ppyleader/videos

I have a tom yum soup on the hob.
Spring onions, thinly sliced red pepper, mushrooms, slices of chicken thigh fillets all fried up, 1.5 litres of water, three tom yum stock cubes, some grated carrot and all boiling away.
Will soak some vermicelli noodles in at the end :)

Milk's great -If I'm drying out off the drink and I've got that terrible anxiety like a solid cannonball of adreneline or raw dread in me stomach - Well, a nice cold ice cold pint of milk goes some way to soothing it.

I hate milk

sounds (and looks!) yum, but no garlic and/ or ginger in there? Spring onions wouldnt add a strong enuff flavour perhaps. Dont mind me tho....:)
