What no Sean Penn and Falklands thread?

Penn said:
"There are many places to deploy the prince. It's not necessary, when the deployment of a prince is generally accompanied by warships, to send them into the seas of such shared blood."

Quick! Deploy a prince!

Not as good as this one:

I liked this, but not because I think Chavez is undemocratic (though there's plenty to critisize him for). Sean Penn is a dick and I've never liked him, he has a remarkably punchable face.

Besides the only people that live on the Falklands consider themselves British, there's no indigenous population being trampled on here, the 'British' Falklanders are the indigenous population, so what business is it of Sean Penn or the Argentines?

It's not exactly one of these situations is it....

Frankly the whole affair puzzles me, it's like getting all het-up about some wind-blown sheep-shaggerfied cluster of islands off the coast of Scotland, except with not even the charm of being off the coast of Scotland to recommend them. Argentina is better off without the 'Malvinas' if you ask me, billions of barrels an all.

Apparently most of the local penguins polled considered themselves Argentinian, save a few who still insist on having some Irish heritage because they think it makes them more interesting.

George Galloway was on TV last night promoting the ethnic cleansing of the Falklands. Didn't expect that from him...

LOL. I've only just twigged the reason William is going now, on a standard six month deployment, is so he can squeeze it in before the Olympics.

Argentinian sensitivity really isn't something the UK gov is overly concerned with.

I am no lover of the Royals but they really are being cunts to Harry shipping off to the fucking Falklands, you'd think he was a red headed step child ffs...

He's a helicopter pilot he's used to live in a harsh barren wilderness.
They Make him live in angelsy the bastards :)

It's William Windosr who's going to the Falklands, Harry Hewitt is safely back in London on a shag-a-thon, making up for time lost in the US learning to fly Apaches.

The younger one is hoping to go back to Afghanistan to fly helicopters before the whole sorry fiasco of the Afghan campaign is finally called off. It a young man ting I suppose to want to risk getting your bollocks and limbs blown off just to get the adrenaline rush of shooting a bunch of sandal-wearing Pashtun Slamists

If you were going to risk such injuries in such a situation, its best to do so in a flying titanium bathtub and to be armed with rockets, missiles and a big gun that you can hit people with from miles away. Beats walking around with all the heat, snipers and IEDs, anyway. Certainly it is what I would be aiming to do.

Tbf: He was prepared to be a foot soldier, it was the establishment that decided that was too risky for the royal spare

Timmerman the unfortunate Argentine foreign minister did not cover himself in glory at the UN.
Showing big pictures of the new Britsh secret radar base at goose green.

unfortunately it's neither secret military or new it's international scientific radar and argentine scientists work on it oops

Mr Penn is not on the TV this evening as far as I know, but the gorgeous George Galloway is on BBC1 shortly arguing for Britain to give up sovereignty of the Falklands.

I was off to bed until I saw that.

You know you're a fucking bellend when you're in the same corner as George.
