Broadchurch series 2

Ohhhhh, she's the woman from Dexter! Of course.

Is UK telly ever going to show the US version of Broadchurch? I suspect it wasn't that good but I'd like to see Tennant's American accent.

If it featured the entire UK cast trying to do American accents I might watch it.

I had a week off and went back to it and it's still... OK.

It's becoming more of a Soap Opera than a drama, but I guess that's alright.

Think I only saw one and a half of the original series. Having a definite geographical focus, real tensions in a community and stuff. Slightly lost some of that with it being decentred and about 2 cases. Beginning to feel like that difficult 2nd album - everybody's playing the same instruments, but the timing's not quite right (or summat). Anyway, just one more left, or two?

The third series can be Olivia finally getting into Tennant's pants. I know she wanted to hug him really...

That bit made me cry, then I didn't stop. [emoji1]

She definitely wanted a hug, I was shouting 'kiss, just bloody kiss'.

I thought the way they dealt with Joe was good. I was worried series 3 would be the trial of his killer.

i am very surprised they're thinking of a third season.
well, there's still the small matter of a murder to wrap up. Chibnall always said he had three series' planned.

This ones ending wasn't bad, twas a decent solution to the earlier murders, and there was some satisfaction in the outcome to the trial. It was a good idea to try and show how a court case would rip apart most cop show investigative procedures, but a real shame they did it so poorly - the defense lawyers son, and indeed her whole history with the other lawyer being particularly poor.

I know its only a drama and cannot expect it all to add up but why did Lee and Claire feel the need to cover up Lisa`s killing by Rod and then murder the young girl , it was a big jump from some illicit ( underage ? ) sex to murder .

Maybe i missed something ?

he convinced Lee that he (Lee) would get done as he was 'inside and all over her' - Lee, being panicked, went along with it. Claire, feeling a tad aggrieved at Lee's betrayal, didn't mind setting him up as well. T'other lass knew the truth and had to go.

Basically, Claire is/was a psycho bitch

Not watched any Broadchurches but I can tell you that the house they filmed a lot of it in is about 200 yards up the road from me. It's not anywhere near the sea at all!

yep that`s the way I remember it , seems a little loose with the likely reality but then again I haven`t murdered anyone for a long long time , maybe that`s the way I would react nowadays , she was a real pschobitch for sure that part was very well acted .

Whose murder is unresolved?

I don't think you missed anything, I thought exactly the same as you. What a rubbish ending

Joe Miller off to Sheffield, Beth Latimer talking about knives, Mark Latimer talking about a love as strong as steel. I'd be looking for some kind of thematic link or hint to the next series if the whole second series didn't just seem like it was made up as they went along.
