Another Sainsbury's on Brixton Hill???

No, I just don't expect them to kowtow. Seriously, as you use Nisa, have they ever been RUDE to you?

You are in the minority because the three most inportant thing to shoppers are - price, convenience and friendly service...

If I had a shop, I would smile at all my customers. Friendly service is what makes me love Brazzas and hate Nisa.

I found Nisa to be convenient and friendly. I don't know where you get this rude shit from.

How can you compare Brazzas and Nisa, that's stupid. Brazzas is in the service industry and Nisa is just a shop where you go to get shit you need. Brazzas is staffed by the people who own it, Nisa is staffed by people who are paid low wages to work there.

I hate your arrogant attitude anyway:Treat me well because I'm spending money here... please.

I have to say I have always liked NISA - when someone tried to nick my bike they came out en masse and chased the guy - I got my bike back. Like nagapie says - they serve a good range of veggie stuff (I'm veggie too). And I've always found them to be friendly. I guess no one can be friendly 24/7 though so it's possible that we all have different ranges of experiences.

The offy / small shop opposite (High Spirits?) has nice staff. They always have a friendly smile. Maybe it's the owners who are working the counter there... more incentive to be nice to customers.

You mean like you get at supermarkets? Either totally miserable or totally put on "have a nice day" crap?

The Sainsbury's Local next to Brixton tube has some very cheery staff. I'm now friends with one of them. We're going to make a documentary together. But I hardly buy anything there - it's ridiculously expensive.

They probably have to, they'd probably have a nervous breakdown otherwise considering how busy that place is :D

Costcutter are currently part of the Nisa buying group so they can benefit from all the same promotion but do not have to conform to promotional compliance.

This is why their stores have less investment in shelving and display. A good costcutter is more admirable than an average Nisa.

That said, BH costcutter is not that great...

I haven't actually done a proper survey on this but the BH Costcutter strikes me as having more promo items in stock than the NISA one does, though of late NISA seem to have improved in that respect. I've moaned at them a few times about it.

Well Sainsbury's application to sell booze is in the window of the now empty Allied Carpets, but can't find any trace of it on Lambeth website, unless I'm looking in the wrong place (http://bit.ly/gslTth). How long does it take a company with bottomless pockets to gut a store, put up some shelves and fill it? A month? Six weeks?

It is High Spirits and I have found their staff to be the friendliest among the five convenience stores on that strip.

Also, the store is the smartest of the five, inside and out.

They asked for my ID when I bought a beer in there the other day...

Being the wrong side of 40 I was well chuffed.....

Oh, no do you think they were joking???

and it's got the shiniest, slipperiest floor for which they've apologised a few times. They finally had the sense to put down some rugs when it's raining
