As far as terrace shoes go, they're something of a holy grail. They're not for wearing.

I know they don't look much but they represented a revolution in track shoes. They were made of kangaroo leather and, introduced for the Tokyo 1964 Olympics, they were the lightest racing shoes that had ever been - at just over 4 and a half ounces... Like running on air..
