Yahoo Answers Shutting Down

Yahoo Answers was a website that I joined long before joining any forum in 2009. Back then I'd answer a question and gets loads of helpful answers. Recently it's been lucky if I've got any answers at all and now on 4th May 2021 their website is shutting down for good. The website has already gone read only when I found this out tonight. I use forums like Urban 75 more these days instead for asking questions though.

To be honest I always thought Yahoo answers just turned into a place of low quality questions and answers. Majority of stuff could be googled anyway and there was no curation to answering with local knowledge ,and so on. May its legacy live on for low quality timewasting like this.

Vaguely related: never use quora. They'll send you pointless email digests for the rest of time and no amount of unsubscribing or blocking will stop them.
