Worst cover version in world...

fallout boy's 'love will tear us apart' gets my vote...

Would it really have killed him to learn to play the actual tune first? Or learn to sing? Or throw himself off a cliff and save me the trouble? Well, actually that last one probably would have killed him but so much the better the cunt

PICTURE yourself...

On a BOAT...

On a RIVER...

Surely William Shatner's version of 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' coupled with his 'interesting and creative' version of 'Hey, Mr Tambourine Man' takes the prize?

Although I'd also give a mention to Leonard Nimoy's 'Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins' as well.

How dare you:mad:? They are masterful re-interpretations! They transcend cover versions. Pure class!

It reminds me of school talent contests. :( They appear to be huge but I've never heard anything by them ever.

Totally agree. What the fuck was he thinking?:mad:

I found this a few days ago. It has to be the worst somehow.

:D:D

That's fantastic! I like Shatner In The Sky Without A Plot too - I love covers that totally reinvent the song. I guess it helps that I have no affection for either Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds or Losing My Religion.

I saw some of the 'best of glastonbury' last night.

Lilly Allen(?) butchered that Kaiser Cheifs track. :(

Ive just been listening to the Sonics and it brought to mind the terrible version of Psycho by the Screaming Trees.

Oh dearie, dearie me.

Pretty much anything in the Michael Bolton catalogue.

(If I were the ghost of Marvin Gaye, I'd have haunted his ass off a cliff.)

Most of Scooter's stuff would deserve top spot IMHO

Case in point, his cover of Rebel Yell. Worryingly the 402 people who have given it a rating on youtube have averaged out at 4 and a half stars and judging by the comments in a non-ironic way.

RDF's "dirty old town" was like a cat homicide in audio form, and to put the title of a beautiful folk song to it was a crime against the Irish and Bristol.

I'll pick Travis' version of "...Baby One More Time", because they thought they were making it good by indie-fying it, but in fact were wrecking an all-time great pop song.

That’s the first time I’ve heard anything by fallout boy, Christ they're shit aren’t they?

No, they just shouldn't have done that song.

I like this one

and some of their other stuff but I suppose it depends on what you like.

I don't know why celine hasn't been voted winner yet   :(

Love Will Tear Us Apart done right -
(somewhere on my hardrive is a Rob Da Bank show with @ 30 versions played back to back )

Amy Winehouse murdering "Message To You Rudy" at Glasto is probably the worst I've heard in a while. Fucking state of it.

Sort yourself out, munter!
