Women's World Cup 2019

Is it me, or is Phil Neville actually an alright geezer?

I have a (perfectly rational) hatred of all things Man U, but he communicates well on telly, and is clearly managing this team to success. Top bloke, from what I've seen in this tournament - his comments after the Cameroon game were spot on as well.

Obviously more like his twin sister than his older brother

I think he's ok, despite the Edwardian Urchin haircut.

Great stuff. Enough players in there who had a good game which shows in the final score.
France or USA next will be equally worried about playing the Lionesses as we are as playing tournament hosts or current champions.
I think that's totally right. However, how exactly has this team gone over 6 hours without conceding? You've got to fancy scoring against them, and you've also got to fear them scoring.

But yeah, particularly if we get the USA I think it's going to be a case of just hoping we score more than them.

I mean, I know that's what football is anyway, but you know what I mean  :p
My only criticism of tonight's performance is of the careless passes in their own half. Could, and probably should, have cost them, would have without the aforementioned Houghton. But a more clinical side will surely do better.

Cut that out, and you've got tons of creativity going forward.

Norway had enough breaks to get at least one. I just hope England can recognise this bit of luck they're getting at the moment and work on it. Having said that I agree with above statements that Steph Houghton more than makes up for a few weak spots.

Aye, we almost don't feel like quite a completed product. For every nice piece of build up or keeping the ball, there's a stray pass that should see us punished more than we have been.

I've just realised. I have a work trip to Leeds on Tuesday. I'm going to be on a train when we play the semi final:( The wifi (is there wifi?) better work.
