Saw this on a blog, apparently researches have found that the unique levels of women in the Assembly have had an influence on how politics in Wales is conducted. Pretty cool that we had the first ever parliament in the world with more women than men!

Edit- one of those articles also says that only a quarter of councillors in Wales are women, so maybe that's an extra factor in why local government is so reactionary in wales!
