I thought it was a canal until I looked at the map and realised it is actually a river! The River Lea.

I just watched a cormorant and an eel fight to the death in that very patch of water. Wild!

Cormorant won.

I know whereabouts you are there - is all that new building actually in Leyton or Stratford? I can see it from Springfield Park but when you're in there it can be difficult to know exactly which direction you are looking across the marshes.

I think it's mainly Stratford but definitely moving towards Leyton at the North end.

By the foot tunnel in greenwich...tonight's was a corker. So on same side of river as Shard, but river bends out before it.
