Currently under a fiver at Tesco - it isn't a direct substitute for the excellent Maurel Vedeau Vin de Pays D'Oc which I regret not buying a case of ...

A lot richer than the Vedeau- would go well with beefier food than my quasi-vegan fare ... but it may grow on me ...

The locals have cleaned out my local Tesco of the half price "Promenade Des Papes" - back to £9.99 - when I'd only got 4 bottles in. No excuse - it's only 100 yards from my front door.

Mainly because my sinuses are killing me so it was taking too long to learn to appreciate it.

The new half price one is a Cotes de Ventoux - blackcurranty Syrah .. I've gone off the New World version .. perhaps the French will have more character ...

I've got some kind of cold which gives you the shits and the tramadol has totally got rid of it.
