What union for my partner? (Receptionist at FE College)

Anyone know what a good union would be for my partner? With the amount of finger pointing that goes on at her work I really think she should be in a union. I used to word at the same college, and was part of UCU, but UCU won't cover non-academic staff there.

She was told when she joined the workplace that "Unions don't apply to you" but I'm aware thats bullshit.

fe colleges were once local authority, so unison is the most likely.

may be worth a call to the local authority branch and see if they cover it.
