What music megastores remain in London?

I used to get 2600, Mondo 2000 and Wired (US) in there.
Borders on Oxford Street had a similarly eclectic magazine section for a time.
i know a guy who worked that magazine department in early 2000s...anarchist infiltrator basically! Though even without his influence I think Borders had a good selection and were able to get US titles that wouldn't have got to the UK otherwise.

and were then read for free by people refusing the pay the price.

Do the MVE shops in Notting Hill count? They're pretty expansive, and very densely populated. It depends on whether you count second hand stuff.

Does this mean Fopp is on the line as well ? It's owned by HMV. Whenever I'm in London that's my most essential shopping destination.

I guess so. I received an email at 12.37 today saying HMV sale now on.....would you?
I wouldnt risk it. I plan visiting an HMV during my day off this weekend.

This is shit, and should be on a general board, rather than just the London and SE one. My one has the usual shit, but also some really leftfield stuff which makes me mourn its possible passing.
