What icon for Ireland?

Wales has dragons, Scotland has pyramids, what would suit this forum?

I think the spiral design is a nice idea but wouldn't do well as a simplified logo like the rest.

I think the dogs and drum are also out because of the logoification.

I think the harp might do best as the logo as we can just steal Guinness design work.

Kinda tempted by the salmon though.

I think the shamrock and almost anything "kelly green" has become overly commercialized, especially in the US. It is a beautiful and meaningful icon, however.

I really do like the harp. Perhaps in the traditional blue & gold

That's actually a good call, when I put Newgrange as a choice was referring to the structure as opposed to the triskeles. But maybe the latter should be an option?
I interpreted it as the Triskele as I thought it would be difficult to get Newgeange as a line work logo.

Thinking of the Scottish pyramids or the Welsh seahorse

Actually a quick Google shows some ok representations

I think the Shamrock still is best.
For a simple easily recognised Irish symbol.
A nice simple shamrock.

or 4 leaf clover... 😁

Am presuming the terrible cow icon is temporary or some kind of joke?

:hmm:
I guess Ireland must have a lot of them to produce all that butter and cheese. Ireland has more per capita than the UK at any rate - 1.5m compared to 9.6m in the UK. So there are 150 cows for every person - that's quite impressive.
