What are you having for breakfast?

1 and 1/2 cheese and onion toasties in my new sandwich toaster.

I took the deep fill name as an instruction to completely overstuff it and now have to clear up all the escaped cheese and butter.

Nice to have a Breville back in the house though. ❤️

I think I've hit peak #foodwanker.

Biodynamically grown mushrooms from the farmers' market, home grown courgettes and garlic, scrambled tofu with smoked salt and truffle oil, home made emmer sourdough bread. Artisanal fair trade coffee with oat milk from the plastic free shop.

I'm just embarrassed I didn't make the tofu myself from organic soya beans.

King prawn bucatini

Porridge. With a D.

Breadmaking this morning was scuppered by my main breaker having a funny turn so unless I clean the pan and make a chapatti thing, just coffee.
I've been off my food lately in any case - after a period of overindulgence that has put the bathroom scale out of bounds - so no bad thing really.

I would have thought that a period of overindulgence was exactly when you'd want the bathroom scales to be in bounds! :)

I do have a few lumps of frozen home-made sausage mix in the freezer, but not 100% happy with it. It was a bit "wet", so I thaw it and add about 5% textured soya protein to it, which is a moisture sponge. But nothing quite beats a Cauldron sausage, ooer missus.

Was awake at 04:00 this morning so chugging down a can of the cheapest energy drink that I found at the supermarket just now. It's melon flavoured and nice tasting.

Not rather healthy but need the kick this morning.

A blend of oats, flax, peanut butter, bananas, frozen fruit, carrot, ginger & lemon.

Weather tells me to transition to porridge but that requires my partner to get out of bed early-ish, which is not happening so far. Or I guess I could leave him gelatinous cold porridge cut into wedges in the style of Scottish field workers, bet that would act as a motivator.
