Urban75's north - south divide: definitive statistics

Where do you live, if you live in the UK?

North and South are not the only compass points. Some of us in the east are not keen on this narrow, false binary.

And as for Wales, I doubt they are too pleased at being buttonholed either with some fake regionalism...although at least they get the recognition of a sub-forum.

Was thinking with the poles north and south have an ultimate definition but east and west is pretty much entirely situational, even if a lot of long established divisions.
Well yes, but in the context of being UK-wide, east and west are certainly valid positions. And this is before we even approach psycho-geography and cultural values...which tends to leave the more liminal edges somewhat confused as to where we might fit. (latitudinally? psycho-geographically? culturally?
It's a minefield.

Hold on, whip out your OS maps and check; you'll se there's 3 Norths to choose from. At least with E/W there's only one prime meridian.

I didn't read it. However, the thread also states definitive statistics. Nothing definitive about where posters live if the voting options exclude a number of them from voting honestly.
How do the options prevent anyone from voting honestly?

My guess is that urban75 is overwhelmingly populated by people that live in the south of the UK but let's see.

The line is determined by a latitude midway between the northernmost and southernmost points on the mainland of Great Britain and I expect some people (living in the southern region) are going to get upset by this but before you start complaining, consider that I could have included the Shetland isles if I'd wanted, ok?
The mainland of great britain? There is no mainland of great britain, great britain is an island.

I had to Google Northallerton ...
Living in Bristol I consider there to be dragons pretty well everywhere outside the bubble ...
I haven't strayed more than 12 miles in decades...
There was a Defra / Rural payments agency office there or was 20 years ago when I briefly worked for the latter organisation

I also remember the British cattle movement service was in Workington
