U75 - A Crossword

belboid

Exasperated, not angry.
Apologies to anyone who does the Guardian (or any other 'proper') crossword for the state of my grid. All I can say is my admiration for setters has increased significantly!

You will note that there is both an across and a down Clue 3 (not starting in the same square). Yes, I know, but just couldn't be arsed to fix it. You're all clever, you'll work it out.

There is an excel file available if anyone wants, it might make it easier to keep up to date with where you/we are. (I'll add updates as necessary)

NOTE: Altho this is a crossWORD - numbers and symbols may well be involved as well, if they occur in a users name

Is there anyway you can make one that can be played online? I have no idea so excuse me if the idea is a daft one.

Not at all daft, I have been trying!

Most don't let you put in numbers, and the only one I found where you could actually has the entire set of clues and answers in its URL! The other ones were okay, but you can't move answers around if you see something better than their algorithm came up with (if you see what I mean). And they come out even more ridiculous shapes than this! You can get 'proper' grids (15x15 with reflective quarters) which would be shareable, but they are just unbelievably hard to set.

I could possibly make one in Google Sheets that could be updateable.

It updates the image shown in Post 10 automatically

by the way, can someone do me a good anagram of 'hearts club band'? I've spent too long on this and haven't done tonight's 'pub' quiz yet!
